red lines on lower abdomen
I have red lines on my lower abdomen that appeared a little after i got married 8 months ago and they never went away yet. what could they be? They dont itch or hurt.

I cannot confirm anything without examination but these red lines can be due to straie or stretch marks. Although stretch marks are generally associated with pregnancy and obesity, they can also develop during rapid muscle growth. They first appear as reddish or purple lines, but tend to gradually fade to a lighter color and abdomen is a common place of their appearance.
Creams containing alpha hydroxyl acids and retin-A are said to be useful in decreasing the stretch marks but the advertised antimarks creams have no proof of effectiveness. Eat healthy ,nutritious food ,drink plenty of fluids and do moderate exercises. Laser therapy, and dermabrasion, alone or in combination have also been shown to be effective in diminishing the appearance of stretch marks.For that you need to consult a dermatologist.
