reddish brown spotty areas on back of fingers

by greggy1977, Sep 13, 2005 12:00AM
for the last 6 months i have been unable to get rid of these brownish red spots on 2 of my fingers? they are not on the surface of the skin and appear to be hear to stay.  i am 28 years old and i am concerned that it may be something internal in my body that is causing this? i have not gone to a doctor yet because i have so little time.  is it liver related? is it a disease? please help thanks

Basically, I don't know.  28 is too young for age ("liver") spots.  I can't think of any internal diseases that would do this--outside irritation seems more likely.  Leave the spots as much alone as you can and show them to a doctor.  You won't find out anything scary, I am confident.

Best.

What condition?  How do you know you even have a condition?  Please see a doctor so you can find out what these spots are and stop worrying about them.  Thanks.  Dr. Rockoff
