shiny spot on penis when erect

I already went to a Dr. for this and he said it was probably just a skin irritation, possibly from sex(which I had and also when I noticed it)  It's about a 2mm patch that was dry when flaccid, but after moisturizing it looks fine.  Now it just looks real shiny when erect and in low light.  I think I may just be examining my penis too much and concentrating on it.  No pain, itchiness, discharge or anything else associated with STDs.  IT may have been there and I never noticed.  Any ideas, am I just being paranoid?

From the symptoms since this rash is non itchy, so it can be due to dermatitis skin or contact dermatitis. I sincerely advise you to consult a dermatologist and get yourself evaluated for these possibilities.Till then, you should keep the area clean, wear lose comfortable clothes to avoid sweating, use a powder to keep the area dry and use calamine lotion at the sites. Oral antihistamine medications would help if the lesion is itchy.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
