skin color changed

My penis is uncircumcised. I noticed from last 9 months that when I pull the skin backward, the the upper part of the penis skin's color is changed to light color, where as the original color was dark brown. Still the middle and lower part has the dark brown color. And I also noticed that the same upper part of the skin is shrinked by some extent. So whenever I pull the skin backward (during erection) the part of skin is pain and sometime minorly teared with pain. What's the problem?

Hello,
Antibiotic(metronidazole) and antifungal(clotrimazole) are sufficient for mild symptoms of balanoposthitis. But in severe cases oral antimicrobials may be needed.I would suggest you to get a prescription from a dermatologist first as the diagnosis also needs confirmation.Without examination confirmation of a diagnosis is tough.

I hope it helps.Take care and regards.

Dear Dr. Kaur,
Thanks for the information. With your information it's confirm that it's balanoposthitis. You have mentioned two types of creams. Do you think it is sufficient to use only these creams in the initial stage cure? If  I have to use both creams, should I put both creams at once or in any time interval? I would appreciate if you could provide me complete cream name, if there are many varities, I can pick the right one form the drug store.

Could you please specify me about the proper hygine, so that I could follow it?

Hello,
Your symptoms are suggestive of balanoposthitis. It is inflammation of the foreskin and glans in uncircumcised males. Topical antibiotics (metronidazole cream) and antifungals (clotrimazole cream) or low-potency steroid creams is the main mode of treatment. Proper hygiene with frequent washing and drying of the prepuce is also essential.Severe cases may require circumcision.
I hope it helps.Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts.Kind regards.
