skin growth

I went to my doctor about 3 years ago and had a growth on my leg biopsied. She said it wasnt cancer. She cut it out. it healed well and formed a scar. About 2 years later I started developing the same type of growth about 8 inches from the 1st one. It does not itch nor is it painful. however it does appear to be getting harder and larger. No discoloration. it is skin toned.
I have no insurance right now, should I have this one biopsied too? Could it be cancer spreading.
please help.
thank you.

Hi,
How are you? It is difficult to say what it is without examination. What was the diagnosis for the previous lesion that you got treated for?
Growths may be raised or flat and range in color from dark brown or black to flesh-colored to red. When the growth is controlled and the cells do not spread to other parts of the body, the skin growth (tumor) is noncancerous (benign). When the growth is uncontrolled, the tumor is cancerous (malignant), and the cells invade normal tissue and even spread (metastasize) to other parts of the body.  Some of the benign lesions are moles, xanthoma, skin tags etc.

I would suggest that you get an examination done by dermatologist along with biopsy of the lesion to confirm the diagnosis and further advise on treatment.
Best.
