skin raised under right armpit

back in january i got a new kind of deodorant by secret, and after about a month of using it i got an itchy, flaky, raised, red spot about 1/2 in. x 1 in. and even after months of not putting deodorant on that spot and putting lotion thinking it was just dry skin it still hasn't gone away. now that it's summer and i have the chance to wear sleeveless tops it's becoming a problem and seems to be getting slightly worse. any ideas on what it may be and how i can get rid of it without spending that much money on going to a doctor for a prescription just yet?

i bought some cortisone10 yesterday after reading some other threads on this forum and applied it once when i first got it, then once after i washed it before bed. the itching has completely stopped, and it looks less red, i guess from me not scratching it. i'll try benadryl in a few days if this cream doesn't keep working, but for now it's doing pretty well. thanks for your help!

Hello,
I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be eczema. Eczema is a form of chronic dermatitis (rash).Allergic reaction is one of the important causes of eczema.

Wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. You can take some oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl for the itching. For mild-moderate eczema a weak steroid may be used (e.g. hydrocortisone as dermacort), whilst more severe cases require a higher-potency steroid (e.g. clobetasol propionate, fluocinonide). Eczema can be exacerbated by dryness of the skin. Use good quality moisturizers to prevent moisture loss from the skin.

If still the symptoms do not improve then pls get a clinical examination done by a dermatologist.
I hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.
