These sound like a case of acne. However, this does not sound like a severe form of acne and thus, I do not think retinoids are necessary. Just wash your face gently with a mild cleanser like Cetaphil and apply a very small amount of antibiotic solution over the area with a cotton bud. Clindamycin 1% may be availabe in gel or solution form and may be applied thinly over the area. This should help control the eruptions. Only use in affected areas and do not apply all over the face as this is an antibiotic. You may ask your doctor about this. It is important to complete the days allotted for antibiotics use to prevent resistance to the medications.
