small random bumps

So for some time(a few years at least) I've been getting these random bumps on my body. They are never in rash form. They are always about the size of a mosquito bite, but have a definite hard tiny bump feel to them. Sometimes they have a faint redness to them, but most of the time you can barely tell they are there. They itch at times, but not horribly, and the sensation of itching them is much the same as when you itch a mosquito bite. I went to a dermatologist, who looked at one and seemed to think it was nothing more than dry skin. I've had one on the back of my neck, right in the middle of my stomach, but more often than not, they appear on the outside of my arms, though never on my hands, never on the inside of my arms, never on my legs, face, or back. Just the front of my upper torso and arms.. I didn't think dry skin showed up in such a specific way, and I thought it would be associated with a rash, which I never get. They appear and then disappear, typically in a week to a week in a half. Just looking for a second opinion, or any vague idea of what it might be. Certainly someone else must have had something similar to this.

My husband gets what you describe but only on his forearms (never anywhere else) he is a landscaper and we just put it down to comming into contact with some sort of plant or fertilizer that he might be having a reaction to.  His itching usually occurs at night (although unlike yours is quite an intense itch).  Not every night though so it's very inconsistent.  He applied some tea tree oil to his arms recently and this seemed to remedy the problem.. so we're not sure exactly what causes it but tea tree oil seems to fix it.  Good luck with it. I just got a bump on my upper arm a couple of days ago and it was red around it and the top was white and I barely squeezed it and a little puss came out and now it's just a red bump and I was about to go in the shower today and I realized I got one on my lower arm and it had puss in it too so I popped it and it looks the same as the other one they never itch but they just look weird and I want them to go away!
