small red bumps on face

I have had for the past 2 years small red bumps on my face in top of my nose, cheeks, around the nose, forehead, etc...I get red but not as much like other people.  I used Elidel for 11/2 years and it worked great now I had to stop because of fear that it causes cancer.  I have been using metrogel for 8 days but at first it was great and now my pimples are starting to come out again is that part of the process???

Hi,
You can apply for Comedonal acne tretinoin 0.025% cream or adapalene 0.1% gel or tazarotene 0.1% gel; alpha hydroxyl acid preparation.
If you are having inflammatory acne then tetracycline or doxycycline or minocycline; benzoyl peroxide 5% gel; azelaic acid 20% cream; clindamycin 1% lotion or cream; erythromycin 2% gel or cream.
If you are having recalcitrant acne in women then probably oral contraceptive containing norgestimate 0.25 mg and ethinyl estradiol 0.035 mg; spironolactone; prednisone.
If you have acne where sweating is an aggravating factor then aluminum chloride solution should be your choice of your treatment.
Acne surgery are done for comedone expression; incision and drainage of fluctuant cysts and abscesses; chemical peel; micro-derm-abrasion; intra-lesional triamcinolone 2–4 mg/ml.

Hi Yoli,
It is indeed a part of process. Acne treatment does consist of Metrogyl as part of treatment, but it should not be prolonged. Metrogyl has got its own side effects.
You can use topical retinoic cream and regularly wash your face with good face wash.
I think this should help.
Keep me posted.
Bye.
