Small red bumps on the skin may actually be a rash. The bumps may be folliculitis or dermatitis or a fungal infection. Applying 1% hydrocortisone cream over the area once daily for three days may help. You may observe if the rash improves. If the rash persists after 3 days, then you may need to have this assessed by your doctor in case the drug potency may need to be modified. Wash only with a mild cleanser and avoid picking on the skin or scratching it.
