Brown spots/freckles everywhere

I have come out in brown spots/freckles everywhere especially on my arms and face.  I don't go out in the sun without suncream.

Been for blood tests TSH, LFT, UEC and FEB but all come back normal.

Any idea what they are from?

Hi ,

Thanks for your answers. With regards to the allergies, I think your condition is being assessed and managed. Purpuric dermatosis refers to itchiness caused by certain triggers like dust and mites. This may likely be your case given the exposures and the elements that you have posted.

At this point however, what concerns us is the appearance of these moles or colored spots. This may not be caused by the injections however, we can not entirely rule this out since the spots appeared after initiating the injections.

Do the spots still increase in numbers?

Deficiency in Vitamin B12 , iron and Vitamin D may present with skin discoloration. Although a differential, this may not be applicable in you case.

The best thing to do here is wait and observe. If the condition persists , you may discuss with your physician the advantages of skin biopsy.

Hi,

Yesterday I found this on the net and it sounds just like my problem.  There was another young girl that got Purpuric dermatosis due to house-dust mite allergy.  I am pretty sure this is what I have.  What do you think and do you know how to get rid of the freckles/mole rash etc.

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

I am 31 years old.  I don't have any associated symptoms like headches, vision etc.

I had injections about 12 weeks ago to get immune to dust and this is when I noticed getting the freckles/moles coming out.

Had one injection each week for 5 weeks but had to stop the injections due to getting these spots.  I first noticed the freckles/moles coming out on my arms everywhere now have hundreds of them.  Have got them now on my face, neck legs basically everywhere.

Went to a dermatologist yesterday and they only took photos and said come back if you keep getting them coming out.  They hadn't seen a case of it.  The dermatologist doesn't think it is a reaction to the injections or food related.

This is getting me very upset as no one seems to know anything about why it is happening.

My GP says it is the injections not liking me.

Dermatologist says he doesn't think it is the injection, food that is doing this.

I am desperately hoping you can help me.

Thanks

Hi,

How old are you?

Do you have any other associated symptoms like vision problems, nail problems, headaches?

Have you been assessed by a dermatologist with regards to this?

For older persons, age spots may be a differential. For younger ones other underlying conditions have to be ruled out. At this point, it is difficult to provide any differentials. A complete medical history and diagnostic examinations are needed to provide a working diagnosis .This does not seem infectious nor due to an allergic reaction.

Has your physician discussed with you a probable cause for these?
