sore corona

I have had sore/sensitive corona for about 2 months now.  It is sore mainly just on one side of my corona and it is becoming a big mental problems for me.

i  have been tested for STD's and all negative.  My GP doesn't know what it is other than saying "there are a lot of nerve endings there that may be irritated for some reason" or, he says "don't worry so much, you have anxiety problems".

i went to a dermatologist who thought is was just dry skin as i live in a very dry climate.  The skin though is not flaky or dry looking, just red, very slightly swollen, and very sensitive to the touch.

i don't have any discharges, open sores, bleeding or anything like that.  Sometimes i think my testicles are too sensitive, although i worry so much that the worrying may be causing other problems.

i've tried GlaxalBase cream and 0.5% cortizone cream for a couple weeks each with no success so far.  i have used 100% aloe vera gel and it sort of dissipates the soreness from the one concentrated area to a more general area.

any suggestions?

-i am circumcised
-no medications
-no white slimy spots
-what i have is redness.  i don't have burning and it doesn't burn when i urinate or ejaculate.  it is sore as if it has been rubbing on something too long, although i haven't changed anything
-the dermatologist also told me to stop using irish spring soap and shower less often.
-no rash
-its kind of like there is too much blood in the area and my penis head in general.  the redness and soreness sore of comes and goes throughout the day and at some parts of the day there can be visual veins near the penis opening.

If I May ask a couple questions....
- are you circumcised?
- what medications are you on?
- do you ever see white, slimy spots in or around the area?
- When you say "sore and sensative" is it a burning pain?  Redness?  no rash or raised bumps?
