sudden itching

Sometimes, I get this sudden itching all over the body (mostly my back and some parts of may arms). It happens more often when I go to a place and is suddenly hot. It goes away easily when i just scratch it. This is tolerable except I want to know what is the cause of the problem. Thanks

Thanks, your answer is really helpful. I searched more about cholinergic urticaria and saw the same symptoms as I have. I'll also try to go to a dermatologist when I have the time. Thanks again.

Hello,
This can be due to cholinergic urticaria. It is a form of chronic hives that is caused by an increase in body temperature but can be idiopathic also. Take some antihistaminic like Benadryl or Claritin and apply some calamine lotion on the hives. If the symptoms persist then please get it examined from a dermatologist.
