sun burn feeling

For a while i have been having a wierd sunburn feeling on my face, and my face gets really hot with the simplest things that i do like cleaning my room, i've never had that happen before,  and my eyes are really irritated, itchy, burning, and red. I Get a weird feeling on the top of my head where the sooft spot used to be when i was a baby. I have had a catscan of my head and it came back normal, the feeling isnt always there it comes and goes some days i feel it and some days i forget i even have it. The octor says i may have allergies, but i have taken zyrtec and it dosent help, benedryl takes the itching away sometimes. If anyone has experienced this before please let me know i feel like im going crazy because they cant find anything wrong with me.

The feeling of it comes and goes, its not always constant. I do have anxiety problems but i have them because i feel this and it scares me, i dont know whats wrong so i think the worst. The back of my throat gets itchy sometimes too. My scalp gets very sensitive at times, i just feel like its a never ending cycle. One day its just my face feeling sunburned then the next day my scalp feels sensitive, then one day its all gone, but then 2 days later its all back again. Its a very frustrating thing especially when im at work because there is not much i can do to calm the feelings down. Usually at home i take a cold shower or i put a cold rag on my face to get the feeling to go away, even just a little but at work i really cant do much. I'm just looking for someone who has had this before or a doctor that can explain to me whats going on, i feel like im all alone and nobody believes me. My family says its all mental and im feeling these things because im making myself feel them. Its frustrating to be the only one that believes something is wrong. I just want some sort of help.

Hi,

It is good that the CT scan of your head was fine. Are there other symptoms present?  Flushing occurs because the blood vessels in the skin dilate. Causes may be due to any of the following : alcohol, food additives, neurological problems, and certain medications. Neurologic flushing may occur with anxiety, spinal cord lesions, orthostatic hypotension and from migraine headaches. It would also help if you van identify which triggers the flushing or sun burnt feeling.  Regular follow up with your doctors is recommended.

Take care and do keep us posted.
