sunscreen under or over

I have always put moisturizer on first and then sunscreen as a barrier. I had a make-up gal tell me to put the sunscreen under the moisturizer "so it would soak into the skin". I'm not so sure I want all those chemicals soaking in! So which is the lesser evil?---ancientLavada

Hi

The sunscreen should be applied on a clean washed face after moisturizer and before any makeup. The sunscreen should be allowed to dry up before going out and hence should be applied sometime (around  20 minutes) before going out into the sun so that is gets absorbed into the skin. Thereafter, the sunscreen should then be reapplied every 2–3 hours.

Take care
