My forearms are infested with ticks I think.  I think I scratched/picked most of them out last night... about 2 AM.  But there may still be more infesting.  What more can I do?  Why do they keep coming under my skin at night?

Hi,

I would recommend that you avoid scratching to prevent secondary infection.  Are there other symptoms present? This could be due to bedbugs, tick bite or from scabies.  Scabies is an itchy skin condition caused by the microscopic mite  and presents with pimple-like irritations or a rash, intense itching ( especially at night) and from sores caused by scratching. This condition can be treated by medicated lotion and prevented from recurring with washing the infected person's clothes, bedding and towels and drying them. It would be best to have this evaluated by your doctor for proper management. Take care and keep us posted.
