i have tiny rash looking bumps on and around the shaft of my penis for about 6 weeks now. They itches mainly when i sweat , i'am hoping there sweat bumps, but in the back of my mind iam thinking herpes. There not getting bigger though or filling with white fliud, not yet anyways. Maybe its that i take my shower in the mourning instead of when i get off of work but i have been doing that for years, maybe it my shower gel, or my underwear....I DONT KNOW. I have a doctors appointment this coming friday that iam kind of freak out about  and just looking for some early suggestion of whats on my penis. PLEASE.................

Hi,

Tiny bumps on the penis may be due to a dermatitis, folliculitis and a fungal infection. With itchiness , then a dermatitis may be a differential. Some bumps and lumps on the penis may be due to underlying normal structures like swollen sweat glands and blocked hair follicles.

In the presence of a significant sexual history, then herpes is a differential.

I suggest that you pursue your physician's consult. This may not be something urgent but it is best to be assessed early on. Avoid unnecessarily touching the bumps and keep the area clean and dry. Avoid sexual activities for the moment, until this has been assessed by your doctor.

Any problems with sexual function?

Any other associated symptoms like change in urinary pattern and change in the character of the urine?
