under arm rash

Last year I got a very pesistant rash that my dermatologist took cultures of and tried 3 different creams that did no good. The cultues showed yeast and somthing she said she was not familiar with.My neighbor was a doctor and told me to get triactin, which I did and it helped (hurt but helped).I live in south Fl. and the condition was just bearable. Going outside aggravated the situation considerably. I went to north Ga. in late Sept. and the condition disapeared. It came back with a vengence. It is flaming red and actually oozes blood. Tinactin is not helping this time. Anything I apply burns like H----, except pure aloe gel, which gives relief but no cure. Sould I see a infectious disease Dr. or the Dermatologis again?
Is this anything you have had experience with?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
It can be due to intertrigo skin. Keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Avoid any kind of cosmetics.Topical zinc oxide cream like Sudocrem, Desitin are very helpful(apply with a paper towel and not directly with hands).Application of mild steroid cream like dermacort also helps. For the itching please take some over the counter antihistaminic like Benadryl or Claritin. In case the symptoms persist then antifungals may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
