Hi
I do not think this has something to do with the blood donation. This may be a fungal infection with an overlying bacterial infection. It is best to have the discharge cultured so that the organisms which could have caused this may be ascertained. Culture will help guide medical therapy.

Continue good genital hygiene. The presence of a yellowish or greenish discharge suggests the presence of an infection.
my doctor thinks it is a result of moisture build-up and being overweight, I sit at a desk 8 hrs a day, am not active, this condition comes and goes about once a year, this is the first time I had a puss discharge, prior to visiting the doctor I applied peroxide and it burned, it is sill bleeding, the clotrimazole helped and I stopped using it but the puss discharged resumed within a day, is it possible to get this from giving blood which I did about through the red cross 3 days prior to this, I am a little worried about this
Hi
The presence of the discharge suggests an underlying infection. As this is related to your query, may I ask if you are sexually active?
A culture of the discharge and oral antibiotics may be able to help. The results of the culture may be able to guide treatment and help ascertain the cause of this infection. Blood tests done to rule out STD's in the presence of a significant sexual history are also essential.
