i have my test diabetes test this morning. I wasn't going to eat but I'm reallyyy hungry so  I'm eating cornflakes with 2% milk is that going to affect my results and make me fail ?

Allow an hr at least before going in. Too close and yes you could fail falsely from it. They give you an insane amount of sugar.

Well I had cereal around 7:40 they won't see me until 8:30ish I hope that's enough time and I just felt like I was going to throw up if I didnt eat so I quickly ate a little cereal before leaving the house ugh I hope I don't fail I'm already stressed enough having high blood pressure sometimes

You should definitely be fine, I ate a mcgriddle from mcdonalds with a hash brown & orange juice before mine because I wasn't told not to eat and I passed just fine. I don't think mine was even an hour before and that has lots of sugar

What's the test name? I was prescribed to do OGTT that's with 10 hours of fasting and they will draw blood from me and they will make me drink 75 ml of glucose fluid and then draw blood from me in two hours and again they will draw blood after 1 hour. Is that what you did? If not then what did you do? I think it will be helpful if you could tell me I'm so stressed coz I'm amemic and really worried about drawing excess blood as I get my blood count and thyroxin tested regularly  :/

I'm Anemic also and I fail the first test every time and have to go back and do the second and sometimes 3rd test and I come out fine in the end

Oh ok thank you patriciaaa02. I need to check on that test. Fasting for 10 hours plus another two hours might kill me.
