Hypoglycemia and Alcohol Dissipation
Does diabetes or specifically a severe hypoglycemic episode affect the absorption or dissipation rate of alcohol?

Alcohol can cause hypoglycemia in persons with diabetes as it affects the way the liver handles sugar (it is too busy trying to clear the alcohol).

I don't know that hypoglycemia would have any impact on how fast the alcohol is cleared.

Please be very careful if you drink more than 1 or 2 drinks, as it can be very serious in persons with diabetes.
