The most important thing you can do is work on reducing your blood sugar. You might consider the book, Using Insulin by John Walsh to help you work on this. Also, you should be working with your endo and/or diabetic educator both to come up with a strategy to lower blood sugar and to talk with the doctor about the sores. Being in a state where you are continually developing infections is very bad for your body.
