Tracking Fasting Glucose vs Random Glucose

Hello,
I have a rookie glucose tracking question.  When I'm logging in my glucose results in Medhelp or any other tracking app, is it okay to combine fasting glucose reads with random glucose reads, or should they be done on separate logs since they have different target ranges?

Thanks!

Your glucose testing should be directed and done in such a way that it will tell you useful information.

Fasting (ideally 70-95 range).
Peak post eating (ideally 80 - 120 range, lower is better, but not higher than 140).
Before eating - ideally is 80 - 95 range (ie. same as fasting).

Then you can use this information to help guide your food choices / exercise / medication use as you will be able to see cause and effect of what you are doing.

Separate,  However doing a random test is useless.  test fasting and or 1 hour after eating or 2 hours.  Those tests will give you info

Random test gives random results
