I absolutely agree. There's a reason that a person's BG got that high in the first place. You can reverse the condition if you drastically cut carbohydrates, and if you aren't too far gone. I made a drastic lifestyle change, and feel extremely lucky that I am able to maintain, by diet only an average BG of 95 after a fasting test of over 160 only 5 months ago. However, my BG will climb again if I go back to my old ways. Bottom line: Once you become a Type 2, you will always be a Type 2.
Yes, diabetes can be reversed; your readings become what a non-diabetic would show.
However I don't believe it can be cured. Once you reach a non-diabetic's readings, you must continue the lifestyle that got you there.
