fasting sugar level high than in pp

my father is 70 yrs old.just few ago he has gone through blood sugar test.he has fasting sugar level 119 unit & pp level 100 unit.why it has happened.

There are lots of reasons why his pp could be lower than his fasting: Post prandials depend on when you test and how many carbs you eat. This pp is normal. His fasting is a bit elevated and would be considered pre-diabetes. The doctor might do further testing to clarify such as an A1C which measures all the blood sugars for about a two month period or an OGTT which measures his response to a sugary drink over a couple hours.
