please help

I am 26 years old and have NOT been diagnosed with diabetes, but i am becoming concerned  that i might have, i have been experiencing alot of numbness and tingling usually in my left hand, i am frequently using the bathroom (urinating)  and i am always hungry but find that i get full after a few small bites. I find bruises that i cannot explain on my insides of my thighs or hip/pelvic areas. I am a smoker, 26 years old with a 9 year old daughter, i work nights and am always so tired regardless of how much sleep i get. for example the other day while my daughter was away i slept for 18 hours and upon awaking i was still exaushted. I also suffer from a anxiety disorder which i have gained control on with medication and self meditation. My uncle is the only one in the family that i am aware of that has diabetes. I am not over weight as i weigh 105 pounds, and am 5"3 so i belive i am of healthy weight.......please if anyone has any information or answers i am in need......thanks so much and happy holidays to all and yours.

I agree with the comments above, you must be evaluated by a physician to be diagnosed with certainty.  Also, for the sleep problem - ask to be evaluated to see if you possibly suffer Sleep Apnea.  I suffered for years sleeping to many hours a day, always being tired before I was tested. I now use a CPAP machine which helps a great deal.

The symptoms which you have written are same as symptoms which I read while reading an article on diabetes at http://www.ehealthcaretips.com/diabetes-poisoning-the-blood-profile.html. But before reaching any conclusion you should go for required test to diagnose the problem.

To further add, you should be tested for vitamin b12 deficiency and thyroid function, as both of these could also possibly explain some of what you are describing.

A trip to your dr, and a comprehensive checkup would be recommended in this case.

Your symptoms mimic diabetes but only a blood test can verify that. Please see a doctor and get tested ASAP for numbness and tingling, "tired regardless" in the arms may also mean a stroke or circulatory problems or liver/kidney issues.
