For the last 15 days I have been keeping the track of my diabetic levels. The conclusions are as below:
1- If I take a full meal, rich in carbs like rice, the spike is as high as 215-220 after two hours.
2- after three hours the level is down to 140-155 even with this high carbs meal.
3-If I take the same big meal, rich in carbs, and go for a walk for one hour, the level would be 138-140 mg/dl after two hours.
Now average meal with average carbs.
1-If I take an average meal with average carbs my sugar level would be 150-162
2-after three hours the level is down to 130-145
3-when I take the same average carbs meal and go for a walk the sugar level is 130 after two hours.
After 4 hours in either cases it is normal 108-120.
one thing very critical I am hypoglycemic for sure, 10 days back I had the worst hypoglycemia event of my life. I took one and half plate of rice and went for walk after one hour. Having walked three and a half kilometer the event started and I was almost passed out.
Please do advise, should I use medicine for the spike or is there any remedy that I could keep my sugar levels under 140 mg/dl. the thing is I can't go for a walk every time it take a meal. I do take a nap after noon so the spike may be 170-220 mg/dl depending upon the type and quantity of food. A friend of mine told me that up to 200 it is normal according to WHO, is he right ? If I go for the calculation the spike last for a time period of just one hour how dangerous it could be, pleas tell me about this.
