Hi.
Are you diagnosed with diabetes? Are you on any treatment?
Your blood sugar levels are actually pretty high if you are not diabetic.... normal fasting is > 95 (ideally in the 80s) and post eating should be less than 12- - 140.
You may find that you can reduce your blood sugar levels if you adopt a lower carb way of eating (avoiding sugar, and strictly limiting starchy veges, grains and sweet fruits)....
Please let us know some more about yourself and your condition. Please ask any questions.
Hello and welcome to the forum. Do you have diabetes? Normally, most doctors will tell you that your blood sugar level upon waking in the morning should be below 100 if you do not have diabetes and between 80 and 130 if you have diabetes. 2 hours after a meal your blood sugar is normal if it is less than 140mg/dl when you do not have diabetes.
Your blood sugar is normal if you have diabetes and your reading is less than 180 mg/dl.
This article explains why blood sugar is often higher in the morning but how your body combats that if you do not have diabetes. https://www.webmd.com/diabetes/morning-high-blood-sugar-levels
I would suggest you talk to your doctor. How are you checking your blood sugar levels? What prompted you to begin checking them? How often do you check them?
There are ways to prevent diabetes. Things like losing weight, eating a healthful diet, lowering carbs, exercising all help.
