Dizzy spells, ear ringing, and vomiting

My grandfather has type 2 diabetes, he is very healthy, food concious, exercises. Then 3 months ago he began having episodes were his ear would ring, get dizzy, have sharp headlike syptoms, and in some cases excessive vomiting. He has been do the doctor several times but all tests seem to come back negative and now there episodes are happening more often and he is unable to leave the house because he is oftern getting dizzy. What could this be, what should he be tested for? Please help!

Well for me, my question is, maybe it's already a complication? Because on what extent that his diabetes is CONTROLLED? like, there's no possibilities of complications? because we all know having type II will damaged the cells of your organs in a long run due to insufficiency of cell's food which is the sugar.

Maybe he should try some supplements, here's one choice:

Hi. I have had an illness where  I see spots in front of my eyes and my ears ring and I have the feeling that my stomach churns and then I usually throw up once or twice. It doesn't happen very often. I do not know what is causing it. After I throw up I feel better. I am on medication for Bipolar depression, Pyschosis and an obsessive compulsive disorder(hair pulling) I have had this illness more than 10 or 20 times but I really do not have a record book on how often it occurs like weekly, monthly, or yearly. Anyone have these symptoms like I get every once in a while?

A couple of months back I had those same symptoms minus the ear infection. I had to get test after test done and they came back negative as well. Then I had to get a scan called the Hiadi (I know I messed that spelling up...lol) come finding my gallbladder had shut down. Since my gallbladder couldn't process food anymore that why I was throwing up and plus my appendix was enlarge. Keep getting tested for everything because it's bound to show up on some test.

I agree with the inner ear suggestion. My father is a type 2 diabetic who is in fairly good control and hardly ever gets sick with anything. Recently he started having woozy spells and the vomiting. THey thought it was a stomach bug to begin with, but with more research found it was an inner ear infection. He was treated for that with some antibiotics and he is now fine. The ears have a lot to do with your equilibrium and can throw things off if infected (i.e. the dizzyness and vomiting can be caused from the dizzyness and headaches). Worst case scenario, you have to keep having tests run, best case, it is an infection and can be treated quickly.

Hello.  I'm not a medical professional, just the parent of a kid with diabetes.  You don't say what he's already been tested for, so I'm just going to guess.  If I were him, I'd get checked for an inner ear infection.
