My husband is Type 1 diabetic

Wat is the precaution i have to take if i want to plan a baby so that my baby doesnt get diabetes. As my husband is suffering from Type 1 diabetes.

Hi, I also have the same question to ask. My father is suffering from type-2 Diabetes since 3 years.

Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune desease.  You may want to talk to a genetics specialist and your doctor since several factors may be involved such as whether you have a history of diabetes in your family, etc.  I was the only type 1 diabetic in my family.  However, my father and my mother had type 2.
