I am 23 years old. Type 1 diabetic. I have smoked weed as an alternative to drinking and as long as you can still count your carbs, watch what you eat, there is no harmful effects.

Smoking any substance (this goes for all types of smoking) can effect your dental health so keep your oral hygiene routine strong if you do smoke!

It all depends on your body and immune system. Few people could get affected easily with smoking. But anyhow smoking affects the body.

Hi,

smoking weed is not recommended.

As far as it affecting type 1, that would depend on your individual reaction. However, if you smoke weeds and then you get the munchies it will definitely require more attention to blood sugar control.

Smoking weed would probably not affect your diabetes as long as it doesn't affect your eating habits (getting the munchies) or self care.

Of course, it is recommended not to smoke weed.
