Does anyone else have MODY?

I was diagnosed with MODY diabetes in 2012 and I don't see a category for it here. I joined type two because I am not on insulin, however I will be when I get older. Is there anyone else with MODY who can share their experience with me and others?

Hi,

Mody is still not well recognized.

The most important thing is to control your blood sugar well, regardless of type.

I am actually suspecting Mody for myself, simply because my two daughters now both have abnormal (trending high) blood sugars.  No family history, I know of, aside from me.....  For both kids to have this... and it's slowly developing, would indicate a very strong genetic link.

I use insulin, along with very low carb diet.

My daughters are currently just using very low carb diet.

Hi!  I don't have any experience with MODY- but just wanted to let you know that there was another post here a while back that had some good information posted in it- here's the link:

I hope that might be a little helpful!
