You probably suffer from Morton's neuroma or plantar neuroma which results when there
is a formation of scar tissue around the nerve between the 4th and 5th toes. You need
a good orthotics to redistribute the weight away from that pressure point. Maybe a podatrist can help. Or try putting a small piece of foam between the 4th and 5th toes
and see if it helps but if the neuroma is already advanced then it might not work. Good luck.
It amazes me how people on here are so willing to provide diagnoses after a one line posjt. I'm going to assume Coach has diabetes and that is why he is posting to this forum. Numbness in extremities is a symptom of diabetes and may be nothing to worry about but might indicate a problem. We need to pay extra attention to our feet and ask our doctors to examine our feet on a regular basis. So I would suggest you visit your regular practitioner who follows your diabetes (and perhaps a podiatrist as well because not everything is related to diabetes.
