No, I'm not a diabetic but at the time of the stress test I was also investigating a spiking high blood sugar count.  The blood tests that were current did show numbers that were in the diabetic range.  that did not impact my thallium test.  The only possible conflicts could be if injecting you with the thallium isotope was a problem, or your overall health made doing stressful physical exercise risky.

But if you don't have any of those problems you should be good to go.  It's a workout, but have fun!!

Pointman,

I had a thallium stress test last week and there was no blood testing that preceded the test to determine if I was able to take it.

If we're talking about the same test, they put an IV in you, inject you with thallium, put you under a gamma camera so they can take pictures of your heart at rest.  Then you go to the treadmill where they get you up to a defined heart rate, inject you with more thallium, and it's back under the camera.

Shouldn't be a problem for you to take the thallium test as you are, but if in doubt confirm that with your doctor.  Hope this helps.

Dave
