Tomorrow is my last Prednisone in a taper. I am diabetic and my blod sugars have been high. Yesterday as high as 382. Walked and drank lots of water and got it down to 193 with my medication Metformin. Today it is 247 and I have eaten hardly any carbs. Is it okay to not take the last Prednisone?

If your blood sugars don't go down back to normal in a few days, do see your doctor.
Occassionally steroids can cause blood sugars to stay elevated for extended periods of time, even after they are stopped.

There won't be any lasting harm if you don't take the prednisone. It is Okay not to take it.
