Thank for the time and effort you-all put in to help me, I'm presently following you-all suggestions plus pursuing it with the VA.
Thanks again, Norval
Gosh, thinks very much, this will be my # 1 priority for Victoza.

Also Novo-Nordisk has a program that takes $25 off your copay of Victoza. Mine initial cost was $92 for 3 pens ( a 1.5 month supply). It dropped to $68 with this program. Better yet, I shopped pharmacys and found that when I switched from Walgreens to CVS i will actually only pay $48/1.5 months due to CVS's lower pricing. Check the Victoza website. They have a few programs to help people with the cost of this medication. Hope this helps!
Oops, here's the link to needymeds http://www.needymeds.org/
Thank you, I'll defiantly look into it...Hopefully something will turn up.

I did a little searching and located these two web sites. Might be worth looking into.
http://www.pparx.org/
This is a non-profit clearing house founded by Montel Williams which assists in finding resources for the uninsured and those below certain income levels. They have an 800 number where you can speak to a counselor who will help you to get in touch with various programs.
NeedyMeds
This is a 501(c)(3) non-profit information resource which helps people in need find assistance programs to help them afford their medications and costs related to health care. It's similar to the Partnership for Prescription Assistance Program above.
Thank you for your reply, I'm aware of Symlin and Byetta, but neither My Dr. and what information I can gather on the web works as well as Victoza. I understand Byetta is coming out with a medication that lasts much longer but it uses a larger needle and is truly an injection. Don't understand why these drug companies in the US price their product out of reach of most....
Besides Victoza there are two other injectable medications which are not insulin.Only your doctor should recommend medications not strangers on an Internet forum. Talk with him/her to see what medication is best suited to your needs.
