Yes, adopt a Paleo lifestyle.  Humans were not designed to run on the carbohydrates we typically consume daily.  They were seasonal treats found during the warm months of the year, honey, berries, and fruit.  Our bodies have not evolved sufficiently to run on carbohydrates.  Rampant Type II diabetes is proof of that.

So, do you really want to lose weight, and lower your blood glucose level?

No "white stuff".  Eliminate anything white; flour, pasta, potatoes, sugar, rice, white bread, etc.  Exercise!  Help use up those latent carbs out of your system, and become a fat burning engine.  Eat eggs, cheese,  nuts, and meat.  I eat about 30 pounds of shelled nuts annually; peanuts, walnuts, and lots and lots of almonds.  Initially, it hurts a little. Your initially stomach aches from carbohydrate hunger.  You will urinate copiously as your body wrings out every gram of carbohydrate it can use.  But then you'll begin to feel better, more alert, the carbohydrate haze is gone.  I felt sharper, less tired in the afternoon.  You blood sugar will plummet and the weight will fall off of you.

Establish a consistent diet.  For instance, fill a snack baggie with various nuts, and when they're gone, that's it for the day.  Pack one hard boiled egg in your lunch bag, with 3 precooked strips of bacon, a square of cheese.  Keep fruit to a minimum.  For dinner, eat fish, chicken and occasionally pork and beef.  Eat lots of broccoli, spinach, brussel sprouts, green beans, and lettuce.  No rice, potatoes, and most beans as they are high in carbs.  No pasta!! If you really need a slice of bread, look for the "old world" breads available.  These contain lots of fiber, and are slow to process.  .....and learn to read labels on food containers.  Look at the total weight of the carbs versus the fiber.  I could be bothered with learning glycemic loads of foods.  Instead I adopted this way of eating, and it has worked extremely well for me.  My A1C has dropped back from and unmedicated 7.0 to 5.8.  Will I always be a Type II diabetic? Absolutely.  I fooled around with carbs and now I pay the price.  But I proven to myself and my physician that I can control my blood glucose level by restricting what I put into me.

Hello,
there is no miracle way to lose weight - it is aways hard work.

Adopt low carb diet (read up on Paleo, as this is one option, though there are others, along with portion control.
Avoid sweetened and junk foods.
Exercise daily, at least 30 minutes, maybe more if you can.
Get enough sleep.

Using a food and activity diary can be helpful to monitor what you do and how you progress.

Also getting a friend to do it with you may help.
