Does sugar alcohol in sugar free chocolate cause glucose levels to rise

I was just diagnosed with type 2 and i like sugar free chocolate but i noticed it has sugar alcohol. Does this cause a rise in glucose levels?

Everything in moderation. And too much sugar free chocolate has a laxative affect.

Hello, the great ready for you to answer this question.is to test you blood sugar using a home meter before and about 1.5 hours after eating chocolate to see what it dues to your blood sugars.

Sugar alcohol does not raise my BG . However every sugar fee cadny Ive seen still has carbohydrates, and they most certainly raise my BG.
