Finger Pricks

I pricked near the top my middle finger last week with a prepackaged lancet (push down and wait for click type of lancet) from Home Access and have a small black mark under my skin where the finger ***** occurred. It originally looked like blood (spread out a bit when I put pressure on it). I was just wondering if this was normal? Thank you all in advance and I hope you are doing well.

the best place to ***** is side of the finger tip. sometime there may me formation of hematoma (puncture blood vessel and spreading of blood)

I think it is probably just a bruise from blood leaking into the tissue. I get these sometimes. Also sometimes hit a tiny nerve and finger hurts for several days. Unless it starts to spread, I wouldn't worry too much about it.
