Thank you both for the wonderful suggestions and glad to know you actually went through this as well. I think i will try these things before I buy a product- not against it, just want to see if I can do this before. I don't like walking my dogs in my area as there have been tiems when there is a dog running lose, so Iwant to be able to take him to teh park at the lake- which he loves, but get car sick. He throws up !! I have given up on keeping my car clean at this time. I will post and let you all know how this goes.
I did a similar thing with my dog, who, when she first came to live with me, used to drool and look very "down" when on a car journey. The thing was, she was very unused to car journeys. She had gone the fist 3 or 4 years of her life without ever having set foot in a car!
Well I absolutely have to have a car where I live, so we had to figure something out.
I always made sure she'd had a nice walk and a run in the fresh air, and pooped and peed before we got into the car. Then I took her just down the lane to the first field, and parked, and let her out for a run. Then after a half hour, I'd drive on maybe half a mile or so, to another field. And we went on like that most days for a week or two. And then we gradually went further away, and she discovered new territories to play in, and I could see she was enjoying herself.
I always made sure she got a run in the fresh air before we drove, and immediately after.
Not only did she stop looking carsick, but she actually got happy and excited at the prospect of going in the car! She's like that to this day.
I had a Collie who got MISERABLY carsick when he was a puppy. He would end up soaked to the bone from drool by the time we got wherever it was we were going. I used to put a sweatshirt on him to soak up the drool and keep his coat dry until we got him out of the car.
To get him over this I started out by putting him in the car three or four times a day and moving the car from the driveway to the road and back again. After about a week or so I drove him around the block a time or two each day. I gradually worked him up to longer and longer rides until finally it didn't bother him any more to ride in the car.
I don't know if it was the motion of the car that made him sick or being nervous over riding but he got over it with my "little bit at a time" method.

I was just by Whole Food today, okay, I will pick it up next time and give it a try. I guess it is self explanatory? Thanks
I got to start coming back here more often again, I enjoy you all.
If you feel it's only Stress related, I'd try "Rescue Remedy".....It's a homeopathic remedy for just these situations......Health food stores sell it, Whole Foods has it or you can order online.......There is a dog version (Drops) & a human version (Spray)......You can use either.....I've had very good luck with it.........Karla
