We live somewhere where there are only human doctors and no vet tech at the moment - it's an island in the middle of the South Pacific so going somewhere else is not an option. And flying the dog off is not a possibility either. We got an xray from the local (human) clinic and there is an obstruction for sure. There is no local surgeon (for humans) that can do it, and our only option right now is to wait two weeks until a vet can come to the island. We don't know what it is, but it is not string and it looks circular (probably from a palm tree).
Are there any success stories of passing something like this, and if so, what did you do? He was throwing up but is passed that stage and not eating much now. We are able to give him subcutaneous hydration so we've been able to do that, but getting him to eat anything (such as pumpkin) has been unsuccessful.
I know it is a long shot - but anyone have other ideas?
