If thats's your biggest problem, consider yourself very lucky!!! I'm sitting here w my 10yr old Chihuahua's ashes!!! She died in my arms on Friday am! Since you only care about yourself I'd be happy to take her off your hands!!! Go buy a stuffed animal if pet hair bothers you!!! Smh
She never used to b this bad. She's an indoor dog so she's not really out in dirt or grass often. She's always shed but for the past 2 weeks she's been shedding even more. Ever since I took her to get her shots.
Welcome...I believe excessive hair loss in any dog is vitamin/mineral related.....In such a young dog, even more so! Yes, all dogs do shed & season changes make a difference, but so does proper nutrition....Make sure you are feeding a high quality diet & preferably wet food at least once a day......Karla
P.S. Constantly shaking w/hair falling out could also be a skin disorder such as parasites, mites, yeast, bacteria, etc. She shouldn't be shedding as much as you are describing!!
Well, it is that time of year for them to blow Winter coats. House dogs usually shed more as they are indoors and don't have to acclimate to temperature changes. Get a soft Slicker brush and bristle brush and brush her daily, against the lay of the coat and then with the lay of the coat. You might want to try a supplement of Omega 3 or Prozyme, which might help. Besides, like I always say, dog hair is a condiment. :-)
There is an off chance it could be thyroid. Next time she has blood work done, ask your Vet to check it.
