my dog ate glass

We have a 5 month Golden Retreiver that ate a piece of glass mirror about the size of a nickel, read some things about cotton balls??  or any other ideas.  Please Help

This answer is a little late, but a good Rule-Of-Thumb is:

*If something happens to your animal, would you take a human-child to the doctor/ER/hospital if the same thing happened to he or she?

If the answer is YES, I WOULD take my child to the doctor/ER/hospital, then it's time to take your animal in.

Yikes!!!  Agree with Ginger on this one.  The only think I might suggest if feeding some bread.  Hope that turns out okay as that can really tear up the insides.  Watch for any blood orally or in the stool.
