Dog just suddendly passing away

I have a 18 mo pit bull that was very healthy and active until this morning. We woke up to let her out of her kennel and she had vomited up blood and was not moving. Took her out of kennel and laid her on ground, she had deep breaths but jaw was clenched w/ tongue hanging out and eyes not responding. Do not know what happened, am thinking seizure but not sure because like I said she was normal last nite before bed. She then started jerking  while taking her last breath.

I am so sorry. You must be in absolute shock! I haven't had a similar experience, but my heart goes out to you. We are grieving as well, because we just had to put our dog down a few days ago. Our situation was much different, but I am sympathetic. I am so sorry.

I just read your post and have to say I am so very sorry for your loss.  They are a part of our family and it is so hard to loose them.  {HUG}

Thank you very much. Yes, she was fine and then this morning is when it all happened. She was gone in about 15 minutes from the time we found her.

This seems exactly like what happened to my dog. Yes my dog was old but when we took him to the vet the vet told us it had nothing to do with the dogs age that he had developed a brain tumor the vet said it was not uncommon in dogs when they get go from fine and a few hours later being very sick and usually the cause is a brain tumor,they show no symptoms of being sick when the tumor first develops so its always a surprise. My dog was happy and healthy and one day he just got sick could not walk or stand was not responding to anything.We took him to the vet right away that is when we were told about the brain tumor and the vet said he will or already did suffer from a seizure and if we did not put him down he would just suffer till he finally passed away which would only have taking a few more hours.
