11 year old schnauzer

Protein in urine is 4+.  Blood work shows kidneys are ok.  High salt levels (eats Hills WD dog food).  Only an occasional Chex for a treat.
Trouble walking (back pain?)  Loss of appetite.  Only urinated once today and hard for him.  Trying to avoid it.  Back legs crossing at times (seizure?)
Very upset & stressed.  Does not want to go outside.  Stays near walls/couch ect when walking.  No longer jumps
Seems to be hurting.
Not sure what to do.  Do not want him to suffer.  Vet wants to do a lot more testing....

He is talking CT scan, sonogram, blood pressure check and maybe more blood and urine check.
He has thrown up and may be having mild seizures.  He is upset and really seems to be in pain... Dont want to lose him but also dont want him to suffer for me.

So sorry to read this.  Could be a neurological problem.  I assume the Vet did a full blood panel?  What other tests does the Vet want to run?  It might be wise to get some x-rays done.  Older animals can often have the same problems we do as we age, bone and joint problems, organs starting to fail, dementia, just hard to tell.
Hope you can get some answers and maybe some medications will help if you can get a diagnosis.
Good luck.
