Excessive itching and licking

My beagle who is about 10 years old has had fleas since April.  I've continually given her Advantage topical flea medicine every three weeks.  I think the mild winter and the early spring have not helped matters.  She keeps itching and licking.  What else can I do for her.  The other dog has fleas too, but she doesn't excessively itch and lick.  Help!

Some dogs have an allergy to fleas, and their symptoms last longer than dogs without the allergies.

Seems to be a lot of flea issues this year and probably due to the milder weather.  You might ask your Vet about an oral flea medication.  My son has been using it and is pleased epithelial the results.  That being said, you have got to treat all your animals and environment and may have to vacate for a day and use bombs.  Too long to type here but do s Google search on getting rid of fleas or flea control.
