*****Note: the dog is getting care, she's trying to do everything possible*******
First thing she posted.
Energy level is down a lot this last year. She sleeps a lot more which I had just chalked up to her being 5 and mellowing out. But she'll play ball for a long time in the cool weather or inside. However, she'll breathe louder than she used to while doing it. Warm weather- she doesn't want to play. I'll also hear a little bit of a clicking noise when she pants (if that makes sense).
I was also watching her a few days ago after the two were outside for a couple hours (I was watching from inside) while they were eating some raw. When she came back inside she was breathing a lot faster than Summer.
She also pukes sometimes when it's hot. I've always attributed it to her having an empty stomach and then running.
--------------
It's getting worse.
Now the dog can't go out in the heat at all. They know do only short walks,& play ball, but that's even hard on her. If she pants, that means trouble. Even inside can cause her trouble( getting excited)
There isn't much coughing ,more heavy breathing & rough breathing,& yawning in warm to hot weather.
The dog-from what she knows-& watched- the dog doesn't sound like the other dogs that have collapsed Trachea. There dog is getting worse fast.
The X-ray shows CT. But it seems like there more to it.
They noticed a white spot in the back of the mouth, it looked like ucler
I know, no one are vets, but, maybe some will what this is.
So she's already been diagnosed (in the past) with a collapsed trachea? And she was doing okay-ish....and then suddenly started with these symptoms? Is that right?
It does sound as if she needs veterinary attention. Something could be getting worse there. I don't have experience with this condition, but if a dog is having those symptoms she needs to see the vet quickly, especially if there is a medical history.
I hope everything will work out well.
Hello JJ.....There is not enough information here for us to begin to help w/suggestions......Any Vet would be fine to see this dog......Who diagnosed the Collapsed Trachea? Does the dog take medication for the condition?
"At times, there dog doesn't act as she usually does."-----Again, don't know what this means......If you will provide more details, I'd be glad to try to help you.......Thanks, Karla
Sorry to bug anyone, but does anyone have ideas?
