Your dogs were not "stuck" together they had tied, the male has bred
your female. MARK YOUR CALENDAR because if this breeding
took you could have puppies in 61 to 63 days from the day they tied.
Not a huge thing that the male was larger as most males are larger
than a female., I HOPE you did not try to pull them apart?
HOW OLD ARE THESE TWO DOGS??
Now since you seem to have little knowledge about breeding or
puppies and care of the mother dog PLEASE READ all you can be-
fore the puppies arrive.,you also need to be aware of possible de-
livery problems and what signs to look for just in case?
Plan to have the phone number of your vet on hand as a lot of pups
are born in the middle of the night,on a week-end,holidays etc. and
you might want to take the female in at 50 days for either an ultra
sound or X-ray and your vet can tell you how many pups he can
see so you know how many to expect.IF your vet is not reachable
24 hours a day, find out where the nearest ER vet is just in case
your dog needs assistance.
Stuff happens but now it is up to you to be as informed about what
will happen next, what to feed this female, how much and everything
possible about delivering a litter IF THIS BREEDING took??
Best of luck- please come back and let us know what's going on...

WHAT WOULD THE RISK FOR MY FEMALE GSD BE IF THE MALE WAS A MUCH LARGER FRAME THAN SHE IS? I WENT OUT TO WATER THE GREEN HOUSE, HAD BOTH DOGS LOCKED UP IN DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE HOUSE. WHEN I CAME INSIDE I HEARD YELPING. I RAN IN TO SEE WHAT WAS GOING ON AND FOUND THAT MY MALE HAD GOTTEN LOOSE AND WAS STUCK TO MY FEMALE.
I know that to have a smaller male to breed with a larger female, is excellent!!
Sometimes during the stage of heat w/female, the male does needs assistance, you need to speak w/other breeders and talk w/them on styles and how tos and don'ts....
You can look in the newspaper w/your breed for sale, and just call them and inquire, finally you will bump into one experience breeder who will love giving you the tips...
When I started to breed, I was so stupid, I had the same questions plus some, LOL
So, I found a paper and called on the for sale puppies and started asking questions, and met some wonderful individuals who breed at home, and I got taught...
Good luck to you...you always want smaller male to the female...infact, one breeder lady took my dogs to help them connect, and I paid a small fee...
Welcome to the dogs community! I have no breeding experience, so hopefully other members can help you with this question. In the meantime, you might try contacting the German Shepherd Dog Club of America. It is the official breed club connected with the AKC in the US. Check out their web site, as there is a wealth of information on breed standards, health and genetics that would be useful for any breeder.
