I am so sorry your question went unanswered all this time! You must take him to a vet as soon as you possibly can. He may only have a concussion, or he may have a fractured skull. He needs medical help very quickly.
My thoughts are with you. It wasn't your fault. It was an accident. Please don't blame yourself. Just get him some treatment quickly.
God bless, you and little pup.
thnx 4 d heartly response :)
he got loose motions 2 ...i noticed 2day that hes getting thin
is it a regular affect of loose motion ?
n oh yes !
as i prayed to god to hurt me ..as soon as i was home... after 5 or so mins my teo tuck in the door ..it was painfull thou i enjoyed it :D
God wouldn't want to hurt you or punish you for having an accident. But He would want that little pup to get to the vet a.s.a.p.
That little one is so very young, and youngsters like this are vulnerable. Especially as he left his mother so early.
I think it is wonderful, what you have done already for him. Now go save his life. Because veterinary treatment could be that urgent.
God bless you, and little one.
he's alright now vet said its jus a shake .he is ok
plz tell me when to introduce him to collar and chain
Oh good! I am so glad he's ok.
I don't have enough experience of very young pups (both my dogs came to me when they were a little older) but my instinct says you could put a very light collar and leash on him anytime, to get him used to it. Later when he gets bigger and stronger, you could swap the little leash for a chain if you prefer. But PLEASE never use one of those "choke-chains"....they are so horrid, and quite dangerous.
I hope someone else posts on this who has good experience of bringing up young pups, who could be of more help to you perhaps?
yeah ok ..m not getting him into the choke ..its jus a nylon collar . .
people said my puppy is small than their's :O
a aunty said " our puppy was big n fluff at 1 month age , urs is reletively weak ."
should it b bcz of the denail of motherly love n milk .
what should i do ?
You may be right. His smallness could be to do with the fact that he was not long with his mother. But I am sure he will build up and get stronger if he gets good nutrition, good exercise and play, and is introduced to other dogs as well as other people, as he will need to socialize. That is very important for dogs.
All you can do is be sure he gets really good food, with the right things a puppy needs at that age. Don't guess this. Ask advice from a vet.
He came from his mother at 20 days old? And she rejected him? So he may not have received enough essential nutrition in those early days. If she rejected him, he might not have had enough milk from her (though he probably got some?) If he got some, his immune system will be greatly helped by this. If he didn't get any of his mother's milk at all, he will be at a bit of a disadvantage, as that's not such a good start in life. But with very good care and nutrition now, maybe you can make up for it.
I do think you need a vet's advice about this though. There are many puppy foods on the market, but it is possible at this stage, your pup could have special needs nutritionally.
My goodness, I do see how you love this little pup! What's his name?
I agree with ginger899, please try to get your puppy the best puppy food you can, he needs the extra vitamins because he is so young and has no mother, your vet or a pet store could help you. I wouldn't worry too much about a leash right now, just put a very light collar on him and let him get used to that, he might try to chew it off for awhile.
ty ginger n linda :)
i have it on !
i call him "harry"
2day some nasty kids come to play with him . they kept him on the sofa .Harry jumps off the sofa as he wanted to go down ..n hurt his left foot ..
these kids are weird .. i sent em off 4ever from home X(
OH YES ! WHAT SHOULD I GIVE TO HIM NOW
he stopped drinking milk ..he sips about4-5 times n leave the rest so i add doog food "pedigree" like 10 -12 dots ...is that enough ...
what amount shold i make him eat n how many times in a day
as its very hot in here .. i give him glucose in water 1-2 times per day
Cow's milk may not be what he needs. In fact it may be doing him no good. It is not anything LIKE the same as b-i-t-c-h-e-s milk. Unless you have a puppy milk-mix prescribed for him by the vet, I would stop feeding him milk.
But of course he needs to drink. Will he drink plain water? The glucose/water is quite a good idea as it will help his energy levels. But glucose and water should really be a temporary thing, to be used either when he cannot eat food, or refuses to drink, or is depleted in some way. If he gets used to drinking sweet water, then it may be hard to get him to drink plain water as he gets older.
What he really needs is a good puppy food. Please do ask your vet's advice about what is best to feed him. Maybe you could ask for advice by telephone? But my thought is, it would be better to take him in to see the vet, just to get him generally checked-over, and see he is ok.
If you cannot do this, then is there a good pet store near you, and maybe you could speak to the manager, who could maybe advise you about what food is suitable for a puppy Harry's age.
