Bloody mucus and loose stool

My Lab,Dalmation mix is going on 11yrs old... He has been pooping running stool with droplets of blood in it for 2 days,,, now he went and it was a "pink rose' colored watery fluid only,,, this was after a very loose stool with a few drops of blood in it,,, I'm sure he needs medical attention but also has a history of anal glands filling up and they have not been drained recently...When we got home I gave him a healthy bowl of 'Ultra" dry and wet for senior pups and he is eating as normal... I was going to wait until the weekend is over to call the vet... Should I be alarmed and get him to an emergency appointment asap? Any thoughts from similar experience? Thanks,,, And hope good health to all the ailing animals out there!!

Agree with Blu.  I would be very concerned about that bleeding.
Hope it is nothing serious.

The vet will need a stool sample.  Best to take some fresh along with you in a plastic bag - may need a paper towel to pick some of it up if real loose, I'm not sure on this point.

I would not wait if this were my dog.  The type of stool you describe is alarming.  Blessings - Blu
